Founded in August 2020, and based in the Amsterdam Science Park, VectorY is a fully integrated gene therapy company focused on the development of innovative therapeutics.<\/p>\n

With R&D and manufacturing facilities in Amsterdam, VectorY develops proprietary & partnered programs based on its novel AAV-based vectorized antibody gene therapy platform. Product candidates are based on next generation vector technologies, which will enable a proprietary and highly scalable manufacturing process within VectorY\u2019s own manufacturing facilities.<\/p>\n

Short description of the department Vector Development<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Assay\u00a0Development department\u00a0is an essential part of\u00a0VectorY\u00a0as they are responsible for the\u00a0development\u00a0and\u00a0execution of assays\u00a0for\u00a0baculovirus\u00a0and AAV batch\u00a0characterization\u00a0throughout the whole company. The\u00a0Assays\u00a0are\u00a0divided in molecular, analytical and (pre)clinical assays, each having their focus and technical specialty.\u00a0The group utilizes the molecular toolbox to\u00a0analyse\u00a0AAV vectors with novel characteristics. Furthermore, the group is responsible for\u00a0development of de novo assays for\u00a0which are used by all other\u202fVectorY\u202fteams for further development.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    Main responsibilities of the role:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • The Head of Assay Development will build, lead, manage and coordinate the activities of a growing team of Technicians and Scientists. The team will be divided in two groups focussing on (i) assay development or (ii) assay execution.<\/li>\n
    • Manages complex scientific projects in the field of molecular, analytical and (pre)clinical assay development.<\/li>\n
    • Has in-depth knowledge on novel assay design & de novo assay implementation for production and characterization of AAV batches<\/li>\n
    • Set up and execute assays for small scale AAV production and characterization according to high quality standards<\/li>\n
    • Work according to GDP and with LIMS<\/li>\n
    • Management of internal stakeholders in other departments (Research, Vector Development & Process Development) as well and external collaborations (CROs, industry & academic collaborations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/li><\/ul>

        • Strong background in Molecular assays and preferably with Baculovirus & AAV experience<\/li>\n
        • Experience in industry setting in the field of assay development<\/li>\n
